Q. What criteria are used to determine eligibility to participate in the exchange as a buyer or a seller? |
A. IPE has a short registration that needs to be completed online. Once submitted IPE management will review and authorize your status to be a “buyer member” or a “seller member.” Approval is typically the same day or within 24 hours of submission. |
Q. Can a member be both a buyer and seller? |
A. No, the exchange operates as a direct exchange linking sellers with buyers. This approach is intended to provide both seller and buyer with a “direct connection” and the elimination of transfer or brokerage fees associated with intermediary agents “in the middle” of each transaction. |
Q. Are there any fees or dues associated with membership? |
A. No, the only fees or costs that are involved are typically borne by the buyer for Pecan, transportation and/or any other fees associated with the procurement and delivery of the Pecan. |
Q. I like the idea of the virtual exchange, but is it possible to communicate with a live person if I have additional questions or need help with either buying, selling or sourcing Pecan? |
